Practice Areas
Ms. Levy-Biehl’s practice includes healthcare reimbursement, as well as regulatory compliance, licensure and certification, payment and operational issues. She has handled complex Medicare disputes before the Provider Reimbursement Review Board, and advises clients on various healthcare fraud and abuse matters, including self-referral laws, anti-kickback laws and requirements of the California Board of Medicine.
Upon graduation from UCLA School of Law, Ms. Levy-Biehl joined Hooper, Lundy and Bookman, where she practices in the reimbursement department. Ms. Levy-Biehl’s practice focuses primarily on assisting providers including hospitals, long term acute care hospitals, laboratories and pharmacies, with regulatory compliance, licensure and certification, payment and operational issues. She has handled complex Medicare disputes before the Provider Reimbursement Review Board and advises clients on various healthcare fraud and abuse matters, including self-referral laws, anti-kickback laws and requirements of the California Board of Medicine.
Ms. Levy-Biehl frequently assists healthcare clients in complying with the state and federal requirements governing the protection, privacy and security of health information, including performing initial assessments and developing compliance and training programs and strategies. Ms. Levy-Biehl is a member of the education committee of the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys and writes a quarterly legal insights column for New Perspectives on Healthcare Risk Management, Control, and Governance, a journal of the Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors.
