Practice Areas
Mr. Hartz’s practice includes the representation of health care providers in commercial and regulatory issues, licensing, certification of facilities, and litigation in both federal and state courts involving such matters as business disputes, partnerships, real estate, construction disputes, unfair competition and false claim actions, as well as litigation involving managed care, medical malpractice actions, employment disputes, claims arising out of medical staff corrective actions, elder abuse actions and other negligence and tort actions. In addition, Mr. Hartz has conducted administrative hearings and resolved disciplinary proceedings with various government agencies, including the State Department of Health Services, the Medical Board of California, the Board of Psychologists, the Board of Registered Nurses, and the Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators.
