Practice Areas
Mr. Phillips chairs the Firm's Health Care Technology Practice Group and counsels health care providers, life science and technology companies and investors regarding the regulatory issues that arise on the supply side of health care. Prior to joining the Firm, he was the general counsel and compliance program chair for Neoforma, a public health care supply chain management outsourcer, and the chief operating officer and general counsel for eCliniq, an early stage heart care company. Before joining eCliniq, he practiced corporate and health care law at several leading law firms, the most recent of which was Latham & Watkins. Mr. Phillips counsels clients regarding a wide range of regulatory and business matters, including those involving fraud and abuse, coverage and reimbursement, privacy, managed care, corporate governance, securities law, mergers and acquisitions, licensing, compliance, and employment issues. He specializes in health information technology, data licensing and medical software. He has participated in numerous corporate and commercial transactions, licensing, financings and the creation and the creation of compliance programs.
