As a practicing health care litigation specialist for more than 20 years, Daron L. Tooch has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for health care providers. He is a member of Hooper, Lundy & Bookman’s Board of Directors and is former chair of the firm’s Litigation Department. He is also a member of the firm's Fraud & Abuse Practice Group.

Mr. Tooch has decades of trial experience, and has tried over 60 cases before juries, judges and arbitrators in federal, state and administrative courts. In 2017, Mr. Tooch obtained the second highest verdict for breach of contract claims in California.  Mr. Tooch  has also recovered millions of dollars in class actions. He represents health care providers in the following areas:

Mr. Tooch represents all types of providers, including hospitals, medical groups, physicians, pharmacies, laboratories, surgery centers, and home health companies in arbitrations and federal and state courts.

With more than 25 years of experience in white-collar criminal defense, Mr. Tooch represents defendants and witnesses in both federal and state white-collar criminal cases. Mr. Tooch has successfully defended entities and individuals in False Claims Act cases.  He has conducted numerous internal investigations to determine potential violations of federal and state criminal laws for corporations and individuals either under investigation by the government or to evaluate possible voluntary disclosure.

Mr. Tooch regularly represents plaintiffs and defendants in general commercial litigation in federal and state courts. His experience includes contract disputes, commercial torts, unfair business transactions, whistleblower actions, wrongful terminations, sexual harassment actions, real estate disputes, and intellectual property disputes.
