Michael A. Zablocki has been practicing health law, specializing in managed care, since 1985. He was an HMO regulator for the State of California from 1977-1985 and served as supervising counsel for the licensing agency for three years. His private practice has included assisting companies in Knox-Keene and other licensure activities for a wide variety of health plans. Mr. Zablocki has assisted more companies in obtaining California Knox-Keene health care service plan licenses than any other attorney in California. These licenses include full service HMOs, limited licenses, specialized plans, including dental, vision, chiropractic and mental health, as well as employee assistance plans.
Mr. Zablocki also has worked closely with dozens of medical organizations such as medical groups and IPAs in a wide variety of transactions, and has experience in representing hospitals of every kind. His transactional work includes all types of health care contracting and business relationships.
Mr. Zablocki received his B.A. degree from City University of New York, his M.P.H. degree from UCLA School of Public Health, and his J.D. degree from The George Washington University Law School.
