Litigation Associate - California

Litigation associate with 1-4 years’ experience to join our Los Angeles, San Francisco or San Diego office.  The position will have a primary focus on litigation in state and federal court, False Claims Act litigation, and healthcare fraud and abuse enforcement actions and investigations. The ideal candidate will have outstanding academic credentials and superior writing, advocacy and communication skills, a strong interest in health law and policy, and the ability to handle multiple deadlines and collaborate effectively with attorneys across different offices. Former clerkships will be viewed favorably.  This is a unique opportunity to have an active role on interesting, challenging cases. The firm offers flexibility regarding remote work arrangements and highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience in a collegial environment.

Corporate Associate - California

Corporate associate with 1-3 years’ experience who is licensed to practice law in California.  The position will involve serving the business needs of health care clients, ranging from emerging digital health companies to large health care systems. The ideal candidate will have outstanding academic credentials, strong drafting and analytical skills, and a strong interest in health law and policy.  While not required, the firm prefers candidates who have prior experience in health law and are resident in or near Los Angeles, San Diego, or San Francisco.  This is a unique opportunity to work at a specialized firm in a consistently evolving and interesting area of law, handling a wide variety of matters, ranging from general corporate practice to mergers and acquisitions and other affiliations, and related strategic guidance and regulatory compliance advice.  The firm offers flexibility regarding remote work arrangements and highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience in a collegial environment.

Partner/Counsel

Hooper, Lundy & Bookman represents health care providers and suppliers in all 50 states.  We are expanding our east coast regulatory practice and are looking for one or more Medicare reimbursement lawyers for our Washington, D.C. office with experience representing providers in court and before administrative tribunals including the Provider Reimbursement Review Board, HHS Departmental Appeals Board, Medicare Appeals Council, ALJs, etc. Lateral partner with business is preferred but will also consider partners/counsel/senior associates with at least five years of directly relevant experience and interest in developing own clients. Outstanding academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills required. Government experience a plus.
